Supported Android Phones & Tablets

GFam+ is supported on any Android phone/tablet running AndroidOS 5.0+

You can check your current software version by doing the following:

  • Open your devices' Settings
  • Locate System
    • If you don't see System, continue to the next step
  • Tap About Device
  • Scroll to and locate Software Information then tap on it
  • Tap Android Version to display your version information

Note: It is recommended a minimum RAM of 4GB for optimum performance

Installing GFam+

You can install the GFam+ app on your supported Android device by doing the following:

  • Go to the Google Play store on your Android device
  • Select search at the bottom of the page or using the magnifying glass
  • Type in "GFam+"
  • Select the app and download it to your device under "Apps and Games"
  • Once it has downloaded, open the app
  • Sign in using your username and password created when registering for GFam+
Troubleshooting For Android

If you are experiencing an issue with GFam+ on your supported Android device please try resolving the issue by doing the following:

Step 1: Test Your Internet Connection

  • Open the Google Chrome app on your Android device
  • Using the search field, type "Speedtest"
  • Click on "Run Speed Test"
  • Once the test has finished, check that your download speed matches our minimum requirements

Note: If your internet speed is below 0.5mbps, please contact your internet provider in regards to your internet speed as GFam+ requires a minimum of 0.5mbps download

Step 2: Clear the GFam+ App Data

  • From the Home screen on your device, navigate to "Settings"
  • Select "General" If you don't see General, continue to the next step
  • Select Apps or Applications
  • Select Manage Applications, Application Manager, or Manage All Apps If you don't see these selections, continue to the next step
  • Pull up "All Apps" and select "GFam+"
  • If you don't see GFam+, check the Downloaded tab
  • Select "Storage and Cache". If you don't see Storage and Cache, continue to the next step
  • Select "Clear Storage and Clear Cache", then OK

Step 3: Delete and reinstall the App

  • Open the Google Play Store app
  • Search for "GFam+"
  • Select the GFam+ app
  • Select "Uninstall" or "Cancel"
  • Once uninstallation is complete, select "Install"
  • Once installation is complete, select "Open"
  • Sign into GFam+ and try accessing it again

How to turn closed captions on/off
  • Play title
  • Tap the "White Rectangle" in the upper right corner
  • Select the word "Off" or "English"
